Michael Portillo confirmed as the opening keynote speaker – Britain and Europe: coaltion and rupture
In our opening keynote this Autumn, Michael will explain what went wrong with the coalition’s policy for growth and how economic improvement will remain elusive as long as the euro crisis continues. As Europe seeks to create a political union and is absorbed with its currency, Michael will share his views on why it is distracted from the bigger problem in play - how to reduce the size of government to regain competitiveness.
The (ever) growing power of change

Change in IT is nothing new. It’s something CIOs and IT Directors have had to accept from day one. New systems, new projects and new demands have always been part of the role.
The difference today however is the rate and severity of change that we face: never before have we seen turnover in technology at a pace such as this. Every year there are new trends we need to plan for. Every 6 months there are new devices to integrate. Every month there is a new feature to include. Every day there is a new threat. The ability to accept and integrate change has never been more important to the CIO role.
